Beautiful residential home Atlanta Georgia
Our Story

BUILT ON WHAT
WE LEARNED THE
HARD WAY.

We grew up watching great craftsmen run fragile businesses. We spent years inside big companies learning what good systems look like. We started Apex to prove you do not have to choose between the two.

Where We Come From

THE STORY BEHIND APEX.

My grandfather was a contractor. One of the best I have ever seen work. Precise, skilled, took genuine pride in what he built. But his business ran the way a lot of small contractors run. One job funded the next. When work slowed, everything slowed. There were no systems, no processes, no buffer. Just talent and hustle holding it together.

He built beautiful things. He also left money on the table, worked without protections, and spent decades one bad month away from real trouble. The craft was there. The business infrastructure was not.

I went the other direction. Spent years inside large national remodeling companies learning how professional operations work at scale. How to schedule crews, manage materials, build estimates, set timelines and hold them. The systems were real and they worked.

But the pricing told a different story. Those big companies charge what they charge because they have discovered that most homeowners do not have a reference point for what things should cost. Commissions, overhead, marketing budgets and investor returns all get built into a quote before anyone ever looks at your house. The homeowner pays for all of it.

Good systems.
Fair pricing.
No compromise.

Apex exists because I believed there was a better path. Take the operational discipline of the large companies. Combine it with the community accountability and fair pricing of a local business. Build something that does not ask the homeowner to choose between professionalism and honesty.

That is not a complicated idea. But executing it consistently requires making decisions that are harder in the short term. Turning down jobs that are not a fit. Being transparent about pricing even when vagueness would be easier. Holding timelines when rescheduling would be more convenient. Doing the pre-inspection before the install instead of hoping for the best.

We built Apex for homeowners who want a contractor they can trust with their biggest asset and not spend the next six months second-guessing whether they got a fair deal. That homeowner exists. We are confident we can be that contractor for them.

Greater Atlanta only. Residential only. Exterior only. We made that choice deliberately. Doing one thing well beats doing many things adequately. Our scope is focused so our standard can be high.

What We Stand For

THREE THINGS.
NO COMPROMISING ANY OF THEM.

01
BEST
PRODUCT.

We specify the right material for the job and do not substitute for margin. GAF roofing systems. James Hardie fiber cement. Johns Manville blown-in with eShield reflective barrier. Seamless aluminum gutters fabricated on-site. These are not upsells. They are the products that perform and the ones we are willing to guarantee.

02
BEST
INSTALLATION.

The best product installed wrong performs like a budget product. Every one of our crews is trained to manufacturer specification. We follow the installation guidelines that keep your warranties valid. We do the pre-work that most contractors skip because it takes time and does not show up in photos. The quality is in the details you never see.

03
FAIR
PRICE.

We do not price for homeowner unawareness. We price for what the work actually costs plus a margin that keeps a healthy business running. Transparent itemized estimates on every job. No commissioned sales pressure. No vague line items designed to be hard to compare. Just an honest number you can make a real decision with.

How We Operate

WHAT DIFFERENT ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE.

It is easy to say you do things the right way. What matters is the specific decisions that prove it. Here are the ones we make differently and why they matter to you as a homeowner.

Written estimates before anything starts
Every line item explained before you commit to anything. Not a ballpark, not a range, not a number that changes on day one. A clear written quote that means something.
We show up when we say we will
Scheduled start date is the actual start date. Crews arrive when promised. We do not move your job to fit someone else's schedule without a conversation first.
Pre-installation inspection on every job
We check the substrate, the framing, the existing conditions before anything new goes on. Problems discovered mid-install cost everyone time and money. We find them first.
Final walkthrough with the homeowner
We walk every completed job with you before we call it done. Your sign-off is the only green light we accept. If something is not right, we fix it before we leave.
Lifetime workmanship guarantee
If something is wrong with our work, we come back and make it right. No expiration date, no fine print, no call center. You call us directly and we respond.
Our Standards

WHAT EVERY JOB INCLUDES.

ROOFING
GAF certified installation on every roof
Full system including drip edge, ice and water shield, synthetic underlayment, architectural shingles, ridge cap and balanced ventilation. No shortcuts on any layer because every layer matters.
WINDOWS
Full foam insulation and flashing on every opening
Precise measurement, correct flashing, full perimeter foam fill and proper trim-out on every window. A premium window installed poorly performs like a budget window. We do not let that happen.
INSULATION
Air sealing before insulation on every attic job
eShield reflective barrier installed across the rafters, all penetrations and bypasses sealed, Johns Manville blown-in to the correct R-value for Georgia climate. Pre and post R-value report on every job.
GUTTERS
Fascia inspection before installation on every home
On-site fabrication to exact dimensions, hidden hanger system fastened into rafter tails, correct pitch and water flow test before we leave. No sectional gutters, ever.
SIDING
James Hardie installation to manufacturer specification
Correct nail patterns, clearance gaps, caulking protocol and flashing at every penetration. These are not optional details. They are the difference between a 30-year product and a warranty claim.
DOORS
Full rough opening inspection before any order
Frame condition assessed, full perimeter foam fill, new weatherstripping and threshold seal on every installation. Interior and exterior trim finished the same visit. No bare rough openings left behind.
